The Honor V40 is several days away from launch, but there is still important paperwork to finish. The phone has just received a certification for its wireless charger from TUV Rainland, with the listed output being 50W.
However, the actual peak power can be 45 W as seen in the schematic below. Still, it will be one of the fastest wireless chargers around because only a handful of phones can get 50W wireless (all flagships). Earlier, the wired V40 charger was certified at 66W, so when it becomes official, the high-speed battery will be a headline feature for the top-up V40 series.
There are three models behind the scenes. Honor V40, V40 Pro and V40 Pro +. All three are already ready to register in China. We do not yet know the phone's battery capacity. We'll find out next week until the rumors of a late launch are confirmed, then the phones will go live on or around January 18.
